How To Add Code Table Terms to a Collection
Documentation: https://github.com/ArctosDB/arctos/issues/3452
Code tables can include extensive lists of terms that may or may not be applicable for a given collection. For this reason, there are a few code tables that require collections to select code table terms that will be available to those entering data. This task requires a Collection Manager or Collection Administrator level of access (manage_collection permission). There are two paths to making Code Table Term selections.
- In the Tools Directory, go to Internal Settings> Manage Collection. The shortcut to Collection Defaults takes you to the Authorities links:
Click on the button for the code table for which you wish to select options then proceed as described in Making Code Table Term Selections.
- Go directly to any of the Code Tables that include this option, select the “collection settings” button and proceed as described in Making Code Table Term Selections.
Making Code Table Term Selections Select attributes for your collection by using the check boxes. When you are done, select the “Update collection — list” button to save your new selection. You can sort the code table using the header row and search using Ctrl F.
NOTE If you are using a term in any capacity within the collection, you will not be able to un-select it. If you want to remove a term from use in the collection, it must first be removed from any records in the collection.
